We are fortunate that a previous owner was an avid gardener who terraced the hillside sloping down from the house towards the ocean.  In the decade we've had Moonlit Sea, we've planted the terraces with tropical plants, including bougainvillae, hibiscuses, gardenias, jasmines, gingers, birds of paradise, elang-elang (a key ingredient in Chanel No. 5!), desert roses, and so much more.  The lush gardens offer a beautiful backdrop to the sea, especially after a little rain.  You can walk down steps from the house through the garden, and at the bottom is  a small path that takes you to Mountain Trunk beach, just a minute's walk away.
